The Bertone Magnum of Conte Vistarino is a wine that embodies the elegance and winemaking tradition of the Oltrepò Pavese area, known for its rich soils and climate favorable to viticulture. Made primarily from Pinot Noir grapes, this red stands out for its harmonious structure and olfactory complexity. The aging takes place in wooden barrels, which impart spicy notes and soft, well-integrated tannins to the wine. In the glass, it shows an intense ruby color, while the nose reveals aromas of ripe small red fruits, cherry, and a delicate hint of tobacco. Winery history
The Giorgi di Vistarino family estate has roots in the Oltrepò Pavese dating back to the mid-19th century, when the Counts Vistarino introduced Pinot Noir to the Rocca de’ Giorgi property and were early experimenters with vinification using the traditional method. In recent decades the estate has been relaunched and modernized while preserving its historical identity and its commitment to hill-grown grape varieties.
Production philosophy
Production focused on enhancing the hilly territory of the Oltrepò Pavese: clonal selection, hand harvesting for the top labels, differentiated vinification and attention to environmental sustainability. The approach combines tradition and modern technologies to express elegance and terroir.
