This wine stands out for its deep red color and intense aromatic bouquet, where notes of ripe red fruits are coupled with delicate hints of wood and vanilla, the result of careful aging in barrels.

On the palate, the Bordeaux Rouge Supérieur from Chateau Rioublanc is balanced, with well-structured tannins and a pleasant aromatic persistence. The fruit sensations blend harmoniously with touches of sweet spices and a slight tobacco aftertaste, typical of matured wines.

This wine is ideal to pair with robust dishes such as roast red meats, game, and aged cheeses. Its complexity and elegance also make it perfect to enjoy on its own, as a meditation wine. Serve at a temperature of 16-18 °C to enhance all its nuances. A true gem for collectors and enthusiasts of Bordeaux wines.

Winery history
The estate retains a Girondine-style residence dating from the early 19th century. Modern viticulture was relaunched in 1963 by Édouard Carretero. In subsequent years management continued under Philippe Carretero, who developed the vineyard and the range of wines. The estate's website and technical sheets document its transformation toward an operation focused on organic wines and the modernization of cellar practices.
Production philosophy
They practice organic viticulture with a focus on biodiversity and minimal intervention in the vineyard and cellar. The approach aims to express the local terroir and produce authentic wines through precise controls in the vineyard and during winemaking.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located on the Rive Droite, north of Libourne. The vineyard is planted on a plateau of clay‑sandy to clay‑silty‑loam soils with iron‑rich clay layers, a characteristic that favors expressive whites and fresh reds.
