The Bourgogne Chardonnay by Pillot is an authentic and elegant expression of the Chardonnay grape variety, cultivated in the renowned lands of Burgundy in France. This wine presents itself with a light golden yellow color, symbolizing careful winemaking and balanced maturation. On the nose, it reveals a complex and seductive bouquet of aromas ranging from white-fleshed fruits, like peach and pear, to subtle touches of vanilla and butter, due to barrel aging. On the palate, the wine is rich and creamy while simultaneously displaying a lively freshness that brings balance and persistence. This Chardonnay pairs splendidly with elaborate fish dishes, shellfish, or can be enjoyed as an aperitif. It is an excellent choice for those seeking elegance and complexity in a white Burgundy.

Winery history
The Pillot family has been established in the Côte Chalonnaise for several generations: the company's website records six generations of winegrowers and viticultural activity on these hills for around 150 years. Bottles have been marketed since the 1960s, and the winery, with parts dating to the 18th century, was renovated in the 1990s. Romain and Simon are listed as the current managers, who officially took the reins of the estate in 2024.

The estate highlights the passing down of family knowledge, a traditional winemaking approach, and meticulous vineyard care to express the character of Mercurey's terroirs. Traditional practices are combined with modern equipment and careful attention to the quality of the vineyard parcels.
