The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG - Cupano - Magnum, produced in the famous hilly area of Montalcino in Tuscany, proudly represents the excellence of the Sangiovese Grosso grape variety, a symbol of the winemaking tradition of Siena.

This Brunello is born from carefully selected grapes, hand-picked from the best vineyards of Cupano, where the Mediterranean climate, softened by night temperature variations, allows a perfect balance between freshness and aromatic ripening. After fermentation, the wine patiently ages in oak barrels, imparting elegant tannic structures and a complex character that slowly evolves over time.

In the glass, it shows an intense ruby color, enriched with garnet reflections after a few years of aging. The bouquet releases aromas of ripe cherry, plum, balsamic notes, and spicy nuances of tobacco and leather. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich, with a silky tannic texture and a persistent finish where hints of red fruits and cocoa are found. Perfect with roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses, the Magnum enhances the tasting experience, delivering emotions in a large format.

Production of Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino Vineyard at Podere Centine Certified organic farming and biodynamic practices in the vineyard. First recorded vintage: 2000 Winemaking approach inspired by the Burgundian style
Winery history
Ornella Tondini and Lionel Cousin moved from Paris to Montalcino in the 1990s. They purchased Podere Centine in 1994 and began planting vineyards toward the end of the decade; the first recorded harvest was in 2000. The estate was restored after a long period of inactivity and developed using organic farming methods and a careful selection of vines.
Production philosophy
Low-impact vineyard practices, use of organic methods, controlled yields and minimal intervention in the cellar. Respectful winemaking with indigenous yeasts, aging in Burgundian-style barriques, without filtration or fining to showcase the wines' elegance and evolution.
Terroir and vineyards
Podere Centine is located southwest of Montalcino, close to the village of Camigliano, on a hill overlooking the Ombrone valley. The soils are clay-sandy with a notable presence of pebbles, and the site benefits from maritime breezes despite being about 30 km from the sea.
