The Brut Réserve by Pol Roger, presented in Balthazar format, represents an elegant expression of the traditional art of Champagne, a noble territory located in the Champagne region of France. This blend is mainly composed of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, grape varieties that provide structure and finesse, with meticulous attention to the perfect balance between acidity and sapidity.

The winemaking method is based on in-bottle fermentation according to the classic method, with an aging period exceeding three years, an essential condition to develop aromatic complexity and a creamy, persistent mousse. On the nose, delicate aromas of ripe citrus fruits, green apple, and light biscuity notes open up, harmoniously integrated with the typical mineral nuances of the terroir champenois.

On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, with fine bubbles that envelop the mouth, accompanied by a balanced body and a long, pleasant finish. Ideal to accompany dishes based on shellfish, raw fish, or light white meats, the Brut Réserve by Pol Roger in Balthazar bottle perfectly embodies the refinement and unique style of the maison.

Winery history
Founded in 1849 by Pol Roger, the house moved to Épernay in the early 1850s and is still managed by the family's descendants. During the 20th century the house consolidated its reputation, forging a historic link with Winston Churchill and developing a network of estate vineyards complemented by supplies selected from Grands e Premiers Crus. In recent decades the house has renovated its cellars and refreshed its image while maintaining traditional winemaking practices and long cellar aging.
Production philosophy
Pol Roger focuses on stylistic consistency and grape quality: separate vinifications by cru and variety, predominant use of steel and concrete, extended time on the lees and traditional riddling. Grape selection favors high-quality crus to preserve elegance, structure and finesse.
Terroir and vineyards
Based in Épernay, it sources grapes from its own vineyards and from growers in the main Champagne areas, including Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs. The Maison uses grapes from selected Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites.
