Chablis Vieilles Vignes - Domaine Gilbert Picq is born in the heart of Burgundy, one of the most famous areas for Chardonnay. This white comes from very old vines, which confer complexity and richness to the wine, thanks to deep roots capable of best expressing the characteristic terroir of Chablis: limestone and clay soils that give minerality and finesse.

On the nose, it opens with delicate aromas of citrus, green apples and floral notes, followed by a hint of flint typical of the great wines of this appellation. The palate is fresh, vibrant, with an important balance between lively acidity and persistent sapidity, supported by an elegant structure that accompanies contemplative sipping.

Ideal with delicate fish dishes, shellfish or fresh cheeses, this Chablis represents an authentic emotion for lovers of mineral and sober whites.

Winery history
Production is tied to the Picq family: the domaine is named after Gilbert Picq, and today management is carried on by his children. Online descriptions emphasize a well-established winemaking tradition in the Chichée area and a reputation built especially thanks to bottles such as the Chablis Vieilles Vignes and some Premier Cru.
Production philosophy
An approach focused on fruit quality and the expression of the terroir: sustainable viticulture/lutte raisonnée, hand-harvested where possible, fermentations with indigenous yeasts, maturation exclusively in stainless steel, and minimal winemaking interventions to preserve freshness and minerality.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the village of Chichée in the Chablis subregion of Burgundy, the estate works parcels at both village level and in several Premier Cru sites, and also produces cuvées from old vines designated "Vieilles Vignes". The wines display the characteristic expression of the area's Kimmeridgian soils.
