Elegance and finesse are the key words that define the Champagne Le Terre Mere Brut produced by the renowned Alexis winery. This champagne embodies the tradition of French winemaking, creating a unique sensory experience for those who taste it.

With a blend expertly composed mainly of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier grapes, this champagne presents a perfect balance between structure and freshness. The maturation in the cellar for at least 24 months before disgorgement gives Le Terre Mere Brut a complexity and maturity that is perceivable from the first sip.

Visually, the champagne appears with a pale gold color, bright and lively, with fine and persistent bubbles that promise the quality and refinement confirmed on the palate. On the nose, it offers a captivating bouquet with notes of fresh white fruit, light citrus tones, and a subtle nuance of toasted bread and almonds, which stem from the long stay on the yeast.

On the palate, Le Terre Mere Brut surprises with its lively acidity balanced by a light creaminess. Notes of green apple, pear, and hints of citrus blend with a delicate minerality that leads to a clean and lasting finish.

This champagne is ideal as an aperitif, but also has the structure to accompany delicate dishes such as seafood, fish carpaccio, or lemon chicken. Perfect for celebrating special occasions, Le Terre Mere Brut will add a touch of class and refinement to any moment.

A true masterpiece of balance and finesse, reflecting the art of champagne from the Alexis winery. An experience not to be missed for lovers of good wine and life.

Around 40 vineyard parcels spread across fragmented holdings Winemaking in various vessels and the use of indigenous yeasts. Wines produced primarily as Champagne, with some Coteaux Champenois offerings.
Winery history
The estate is a family-run operation with historical roots in the Vallée de la Marne; the family has been involved in viticulture for generations, and Alexis, the central figure of the current project, has reshaped the production approach by prioritizing single-parcel wines and natural farming practices. Production now comes together under the A. Leconte/Alexis label, which emphasizes the identity of the estate’s different soils.
Production philosophy
Based on a trust in nature, the winery applies biodynamic principles and low-intervention winemaking: indigenous yeasts, fermentations in barrels, a variety of tanks and the lunar calendar for some cellar operations, all aimed at preserving the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards spread across the Vallée de la Marne, with parcels in communes such as Troissy and Vandières and within the Grand Cru area of Aÿ; soils vary and include marls, silts and limestone beds typical of the region.
