The Chardonnay Alto Adige DOC by Bergmannhof is born in the heart of the Dolomites, in an area that offers a unique terroir thanks to the cool and breezy climate and soil rich in minerals. The Chardonnay grape variety expresses itself here with purity and elegance, giving rise to a wine with a bright straw-yellow color, with greenish reflections.

On the nose, it presents delicate notes of white-fleshed fruit, such as apple and peach, accompanied by a hint of white flowers and slight buttery aromas due to partial aging in wood. The palate is harmonious, fresh, and well-structured, with a mineral vein that supports the persistence. This Chardonnay pairs perfectly with fish dishes, shellfish, and fresh cheeses, proving to be an ideal companion for enhancing Alpine regional cuisine with refinement.

Production philosophy
We work close to nature with sustainable viticulture practices and a winemaking approach focused on cleanliness and artisanal precision; our company communications emphasize management across generations and minimal intervention to showcase the terroir and the grapes.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in the municipality of Appiano on the Strada del Vino, at the foot of the Macaion/Gantkofel massif. The soils are composed of clay, limestone and gravel typical of the hills of S. Paolo/Gaider, elements that contribute to the structure and minerality of the wines.
