Since the first harvest in 2009, the Istine family business in Tuscany has continued to engage in the production of Chianti Classico, evolving and growing, but remaining tied to traditions and the territory.

The grapes used come exclusively from the Casanove dell'Aia, Istine and Cavarchione vineyards, which are distinguished by their high altitude and predominantly rocky soil. Once the manual harvest has been completed and a year has elapsed, we proceed with the selection of the small masses that will become "Riserva Levigne", that is the best expression of the vintage. Only 4,000 bottles of this wine are produced each year and it is aged for a total of 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels.

The wine has a brilliant ruby red color and the nose perceives notes of cherries and raspberries with a hint of liquorice and mint in the background. On the palate it is tasty and full-bodied but elegant at the same time.

It goes perfectly with meat dishes to share at a dinner with family or friends.

Winery history
The estate is managed by the Fronti family: the family's agricultural business traces its origins to the enterprise started by Bruno Fronti in 1959; the first vineyard land was purchased in 1982. For years the grapes were sold in bulk to third parties until the first bottling under their own label with the 2009 vintage. In 2012 they launched a project of separate vinification for cru from individual vineyards. The estate has been certified organic since the 2016 vintage.
Production philosophy
Expressive regional wines produced by prioritizing Sangiovese from individual vineyards, environmentally friendly agricultural practices, and winemaking aimed at highlighting site exposure and soil characteristics. The approach focuses on quality, limited production per individual cru, and sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
Discontinuous vineyards located in the Chianti Classico area, characterized by high elevations and loose soils dominated by galestro and alberese. Main vineyards: Vigna Istine, Casanova dell'Aia and Cavarchione.
