The aging, meticulously prolonged in selected oak barrels, offers an extraordinary aromatic depth, with notes of amber honey, dried fruit, vanilla, and a hint of sweet spices. On the palate, it opens with a soft and velvety texture, accompanied by a long persistence that culminates in a harmonious and charming finish. The skilled craftsmanship of Grosperrin, distinguished by the search for unique and rare lots, makes this cognac an intensely refined sensory experience.
Perfect as a digestif after a significant meal, it pairs excellently with desserts based on dried fruit or dark chocolate, but also reaches its peak in a simple tasting neat, to fully appreciate its complexity and timeless elegance.

Distillation
Traditional distillation in Charentais pot stills (double distillation for most eaux-de-vie); for some historical cuvées a 19th-century-inspired technique is used (e.g. separate vinification and first distillation for individual grape varieties in the 'Cépages' project).
Ageing
Ageing in casks to obtain the typical expression of each cru; lots are aged and monitored individually in the maison's chais in Saintes; some batches spent long periods in external warehouses before arriving at Grosperrin cellars.
