Cornas, the beating heart of northern Rhône, is the exclusive terroir where Guillaume Gilles brings his Chaillot to life, an emblematic wine of the Syrah grape variety. The vines, south-facing on steep granite slopes, give this Cru a unique power and structure, supported by the minerality of the soil. After a traditional fermentation, the wine matures in wooden barrels, enriching itself with spicy and velvety notes. Chaillot shows an intense ruby color and on the nose releases complex aromas of dark fruits, black pepper, and hints of Mediterranean herbs, harmoniously blended with elegant shades of leather and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied, enveloping, and vibrant, with well-integrated tannins that guarantee a long persistence. Perfect with grilled red meats or game, it is an authentic expression of Cornas excellence signed Guillaume Gilles.
