The Costa del Nero DOC - Magnum - Conte Vistarino represents a fine selection of Pinot Noir, produced in Magnum format (1.5 litres) by the historic Conte Vistarino estate, located in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese, in Lombardy. This area is famous for its affinity with the Pinot Noir grape, introduced by the Vistarino family in the 19th century, and for its ability to produce wines that combine elegance, structure and complexity.

The choice of Magnum format is not just a question of quantity; wines aged in larger bottles tend to develop more slowly, potentially offering an even richer and more nuanced tasting experience than the standard format. Furthermore, a Magnum of Costa del Nero DOC is ideal for special occasions, adding a touch of festivity and allowing you to share the pleasure of a great wine with friends and family.

Costa del Nero DOC stands out for its profound expression of Pinot Noir, with grapes carefully selected from the best vineyards of the estate, benefiting from a calcareous-clayey soil and an ideal microclimate which ensure optimal maturation. After the manual harvest, the wine is aged in wood to further enhance its complexity without overpowering the varietal character.

At sight, the wine shows an elegant ruby red color, with nuances that tend towards garnet with aging. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe red fruits, cherries, raspberries and floral notes emerge, enriched by accents of spices and a subtle mineral vein. This olfactory complexity is the prelude to a structured and harmonious palate, where soft tannins and well-balanced acidity lead to a long and persistent finish.

Ideal food pairings for the Costa del Nero DOC - Magnum - Conte Vistarino include dishes based on red meat, game, dishes rich in mushrooms and medium-aged cheeses. Its ability to combine finesse and power makes it versatile and capable of accompanying a dinner from start to finish.
