The Durella Riserva Metodo Classico Pas Dosè from Cantina Cà Rugate is a refined and pure expression of the Lessini territory. Classified as Lessini Durello DOC, this sparkling wine is primarily made from Durella grapes, known for their lively acidity and surprising freshness.

The uniqueness of this Metodo Classico lies in its Pas Dosè vinification, meaning no dosage liquor is added at degorgement, allowing the wine to express the most authentic character of the grape variety and the terroir. The result is a sparkling wine of great purity and intensity, with an aromatic complexity ranging from notes of ripe citrus to those of fresh bread and yeast, due to a significant maturation period on the lees exceeding 36 months.

Visually, the Durella Riserva Metodo Classico Pas Dosè appears with a bright straw yellow color and a very fine and persistent perlage, a sign of high quality in the production of Metodo Classico sparkling wines. On the nose, aromas of green apple, pineapple, and mineral nuances are distinguished, leading to a balanced palate where the acidity is well matched by the structure of the wine.

This sparkling wine is ideal as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with light starters, dishes based on fish and seafood. Fresh or blue-veined cheeses can also be successfully paired, creating a pleasant and stimulating contrast on the palate.

In conclusion, the Durella Riserva Metodo Classico Pas Dosè from Cantina Cà Rugate is an excellent option for enthusiasts of Italian sparkling wines who are looking for a high-quality product capable of offering a rich and memorable tasting experience.

Winery history
The Tessari family has been cultivating vineyards in the area for over a century; the Ca' Rugate label first appeared on bottles in 1986. In 2001 Michele Tessari, the fourth generation of the family, launched a project to reorganize the estate and expand the vineyards, and the new winery in Montecchia di Crosara was inaugurated in 2002. Over the years the estate has developed wine‑tourism activities and created a wine museum to tell the family's agricultural history.
Production philosophy
Quality that begins in the vineyard is a priority: sustainable management and low-impact practices to enhance native varieties and the expression of the terroir. Since 2004 the estate has adopted more sustainable agronomic methods and demonstrates a commitment to traceability and preserving the local character. Since 2013 it has been part of Indipendenti del Soave.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are situated on the hills of Val d'Alpone and on land well suited to Soave Classico, Valpolicella and Lessini Durello. The soils have a volcanic and calcareous‑basaltic composition typical of the Soave area; some parcels lie on ridges and terraces with steep slopes and average elevations of around 400–450 meters above sea level.
Awards and recognitions
Numerous national and international awards, including several 'Tre Bicchieri' from the Gambero Rosso guide for the winery's wines, and medals/recognitions at international competitions also dedicated to mountain and heroic wines.
