Distilled in the lush sugar cane plantations of the Mauritian archipelago, the Emperor Jubilee derives its uniqueness from double maturation. Initially, the rum is aged in American oak barrels that previously housed bourbon, giving it robust notes of vanilla and caramel. Subsequently, the liquor is transferred to fine cognac barrels, where it acquires refinement, complexity, and a velvety smoothness.
On the nose, the Emperor Jubilee offers an intense bouquet, with accents of ripe fruit such as plums and figs, blended with nuances of dark chocolate and sweet spices, like cardamom and nutmeg. On the palate, the rum reveals itself as rich and layered, with the natural sweetness of the sugar cane well balanced by a slight astringency from the oak wood and a mild spiciness from the cognac.
The finish is long and lingering, leaving a pleasantly warm and spicy aftertaste, with a touch of vanilla that prolongs on the palate.
Perfect to be served neat or with an ice cube, the Emperor Jubilee Cognac Finish is a celebration of the fusion of distilling traditions, creating a perfect synergy for an exceptional tasting experience.
