The Falanghina DOC from Janare, produced by the renowned winery La Guardiense, is a true expression of the Campania terroir. This white wine stands out for its lively aromatic profile and impeccable freshness, making it an ideal companion for a variety of dishes and occasions.

Janare's Falanghina is made from carefully selected grapes, sourced from the best plots of vineyards cultivated in the hilly areas of the region. The winemaking process follows traditional methods, with temperature-controlled fermentation to preserve the freshness and aromatic qualities of the grapes.

To the eye, the wine presents a bright straw-yellow color, with greenish reflections that suggest its youthfulness and vitality. On the nose, immediate notes of fresh fruit like green apple, white peach, and citrus emerge, enriched by floral nuances and subtle mineral hints.

On the palate, Janare's Falanghina DOC surprises with its perfect balance between acidity and structure. Freshness is the leitmotif that accompanies the tasting experience, with an aromatic persistence that invites a second sip. The slightly almond aftertaste completes the picture, adding complexity and pleasurability.

This wine is ideal for pairing with light appetizers, fish or seafood dishes, and fresh cheeses. Its versatility also makes it suitable as an aperitif, to start an evening with elegance and freshness.

The Falanghina DOC from Janare, La Guardiense is, without doubt, an excellent choice for those seeking a white wine that combines tradition and vivacity, perfect for captivating the most demanding palates.

Winery history
La Guardiense was established as a cooperative on 8 March 1960 by 33 growers from Guardia Sanframondi. Over the decades it has expanded its membership and production activities: first documented harvest in 1963, start of sparkling wine production in 1986, and international recognition as early as the 1970s. In the 2000s the winery established an ongoing collaboration with oenologist Riccardo Cotarella and developed research and zoning projects such as “I Mille” and “Janare.” In recent years the cooperative has undertaken sustainability and innovation initiatives, obtaining certifications and producing a corporate sustainability report.
Production philosophy
Enhancing the local viticultural heritage through cooperation among members, scientific research applied to viticulture, and the transformation of indigenous grapes into distinctive wines. The company combines integrated agricultural practices, zoning projects and the development of sustainable supply chains to improve quality and traceability.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate and main vineyards are located in the Sannio beneventano, in the Valle Telesina around Guardia Sanframondi, a hilly area nestled between the Matese massif and Monte Taburno, well suited to Falanghina, Aglianico, Fiano and Greco.
Awards and recognitions
Among the awards mentioned: Bacchus Prix International; Oscar for Best Innovation in Wine for the "I Mille" project.
