The Franciacorta Brut DOCG Santus represents the sparkling excellence of the renowned Franciacorta area, in the heart of Lombardy. Obtained mainly from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, this classic method expresses an impeccable balance between freshness and complexity thanks to a long maturation on the lees. In the glass it presents a fine and persistent perlage, accompanied by bright golden reflections.

The bouquet recalls fragrant notes of white flowers, almond, and light hints of bread crust, the result of a skillful refinement. On the palate it stands out for a vibrant acidity, which supports a lean but enveloping body, characterized by minerality and an elegant, savory finish. An ideal companion for refined aperitifs, fish dishes, shellfish, or delicately prepared cuisine, this Franciacorta preserves the identity of a territory dedicated to quality, capable of exciting with every sip.

Winery history
Cantina Santi was founded as a winery in Illasi and has been present in Valpolicella since the 19th century. During the 20th century the Santi family introduced technical innovations and progressively focused on high-end wines; in 1974 the winery became part of Gruppo Italiano Vini, which reinforced investments and facilities while preserving its local identity.
Production philosophy
Santi claims a style tied to the sense of place of Valpolicella: it favors the predominant use of Corvina in its selections, aging in large traditional casks, and the use of local woods to enhance the aromatic qualities typical of native grape varieties. The approach combines oenological research with respect for local practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Santi's vineyards and selections are concentrated in Val d'Illasi and the classic areas of Valpolicella, using a vineyard-selection approach across different exposures and microclimates to produce wines that reflect the local terroir. The winery also works with vineyards in other Veronese appellations such as Soave, Bardolino and Lugana.
