The Friulano Friuli Colli Orientali DOC produced by Vigna Petrussa represents the pinnacle of winemaking tradition in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. This white wine is grown in one of the most prestigious areas, the Colli Orientali del Friuli, known for its marly-calcareous soil that imparts a characteristic mineral profile and an extraordinary aging potential to the wine.

Vigna Petrussa meticulously manages each phase of production: from hand-picking the grapes to vinification that follows traditional methods, while always keeping an eye on key technological innovations that can further elevate the quality of the final product. The result is a Friulano that perfectly expresses the qualities of this native grape variety.

On the nose, Vigna Petrussa's Friulano Friuli Colli Orientali DOC offers a varied bouquet ranging from fruity notes of green apple and white peach to subtle vegetal touches and a delicate hint of almond, typical of the variety. On the palate, freshness is the dominant trait, supported by a good structure and a surprising balance that invites another sip. The aromatic persistence is elegant and subtle, leaving a pleasantly fresh and clean sensation.

Ideal as an aperitif, this wine is also a perfect companion for fish dishes, particularly shellfish and seafood, and pairs beautifully with light cuisine, especially vegetable-based dishes and fresh cheeses. Its versatility makes it an excellent choice for many occasions, from an informal aperitif to the elegant table of a refined dinner.

Winery history
Three generations of women have led the winery: the pioneer Giuseppina, her daughter Hilde and her granddaughter Francesca. The family's roots date back to the 19th century; since the 1990s Hilde has relaunched the winery, prioritizing indigenous grape varieties, restructuring the vineyards and adopting cultivation practices aimed at enhancing the terroir.
Production philosophy
Production focused on respect for the land, low-impact practices and wines that express the typical character of the local grapes. The estate states that it focuses on sustainability, spontaneous fermentations and the use of techniques that limit interventions in the vineyard and cellar.
