Geyserville by Ridge Vineyards is an iconic wine that represents the essence of the Californian territory of Sonoma County. Characterized by extraordinary complexity, this unique blend of Zinfandel, Carignane, and Petite Sirah is a perfect example of winemaking wisdom and distinctive terroir.

On the nose, the Geyserville offers intense and layered aromas of ripe berries, black cherries, and plums, accompanied by subtle hints of sweet spices like vanilla and cinnamon, derived from aging in oak barrels. On the palate, this wine stands out for its well-balanced structure, with soft tannins and good acidity that harmonizes the richness of the fruit. The palate is flooded with flavors of blackberry, raspberry, and notes of pepper, culminating in a long and persistent finish with nuances of bitter chocolate and tobacco.

Geyserville lends itself magnificently to aging, evolving over the years in complexity and finesse. Perfect to pair with red meats, roasts, and aged cheeses, it is a wine that reflects the historicity and unmatched quality of Ridge Vineyards. Each bottle of Geyserville is a testament to the art of winemaking, capable of capturing the attention of both enthusiasts and experts in the wine industry.

Winery history
The modern estate has its roots in the reconstitution of the historic Monte Bello winery: a group of Stanford researchers purchased vineyards in the area in 1959, and in 1962 the project was renamed Ridge Vineyards with the first commercial release of Monte Bello. In the following years Ridge expanded production with bottles from historic vineyards, and the arrival of figures such as winemaker Paul Draper helped build the company's international reputation; Monte Bello was among the wines featured in the famous tastings that put Californian wine on the world stage.
Production philosophy
Ridge promotes a single-vineyard philosophy: selecting parcels where climate, soil and grape variety are in balance so that the site determines the style. At the winery it favors a "pre-industrial" approach with measured interventions, the use of natural yeasts and transparent practices. The estate also states a commitment to sustainable farming practices and organic certification for some vineyards.
Terroir and vineyards
Operations are concentrated in California, with estates and wines from Monte Bello, historic vineyards in Sonoma County such as Lytton Springs and Geyserville, and projects in Paso Robles wine regions.
Awards and recognitions
International critical recognition: Monte Bello has appeared among the notable Californian wines in historic tastings, and the winery regularly receives high ratings from critics and wine publications.
