Greco di Tufo DOCG Cardenio - Amarano is born among the gentle hills of Campania, precisely in the renowned area of Tufo, homeland of this native white grape variety with timeless elegance.

Made exclusively from the Greco grape, this wine best expresses the volcanic territory that produces it, imparting minerality and a vibrant freshness. The aging, carried out with care and attention, enhances the varietal characteristics, keeping them dynamic and engaging on the palate.

On the nose, aromas of yellow-fleshed fruits, fresh citrus, and subtle floral notes unfold, while on the palate it reveals a pleasant sapidity, balanced body, and a bright persistence, typical of the denomination. It is a great companion for refined seafood dishes but also pairs well with white meats and fresh cheeses, offering a tasting experience that delivers lightness and depth.

Winery history
Amarano was founded as a family-run estate in the Montemarano area of Alta Irpinia. Public sources report the business began in 2004; management is carried out by family members who oversee both the farming and the winemaking decisions. Over time the estate has focused its production on the area's traditional grape varieties, favoring extended aging for the reds and lees contact for the whites.
Production philosophy
The winery declares a strong connection to the tradition of Irpinia: it primarily produces wine from native grape varieties, maintains low yields, reduces the use of chemical products by adopting integrated pest management protocols, and limits the use of sulfites. In the cellar, stainless-steel fermentations alternate with aging in barriques and large casks to enhance the wines' structure and longevity.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Montemarano, in the heart of Irpinia, the estate cultivates vineyards situated on hills of predominantly volcanic and sandy origin, at elevations of around 500–700 m above sea level. The area is characterized by marked diurnal temperature variation and soils that enhance acidity, minerality and structure in the wines.
