The Lacryma Christi Rosso Vesuvio DOP by Cantine Olivella is born on the slopes of the Vesuvius volcano, a unique terroir that gives the wine an unmistakable character. This red is mainly made from native grape varieties such as Piedirosso, sometimes accompanied by other local grapes, which thrive in mineral-rich volcanic soils. The aging process, often in steel or large wooden barrels, preserves the freshness and fruity expressiveness typical of the region.

In the glass, it presents a bright ruby red color, with intense aromas recalling cherries, wild berries, and subtle spicy hints. On the palate, it is soft, balanced, with good structure and a pleasant sapidity due to the particular volcanic soil. An excellent companion for Mediterranean cuisine dishes, roasted meats, and aged cheeses, it best expresses the enological tradition of the Vesuvius area.
