The Lagrein DOC from Ansitz Waldgries comes from the wine hills of Alto Adige, a region known for its cool climate and ideal temperature variations for this native variety. The Lagrein grape, with black berries, gives this wine a harmonious structure and a typical color depth, with intense reflections ranging from ruby to violet.

The vinification involves controlled fermentation and aging in oak barrels, which gives the wine a velvety texture and spicy notes. On the nose, aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum emerge, accompanied by hints of violet and slight mineral nuances. On the palate, there is a balance between softness and well-integrated tannins, with a persistent and harmonious finish.

It is perfect paired with game dishes, roasts, and aged cheeses, enhancing its typical personality and the character of its territory of origin.
