Chateau Yveline's Lalande De Pomerol is a fascinating example from the Bordeaux region, known for its robust character and sophisticated elegance. This wine is primarily produced from Merlot grapes, which gives it a velvety texture and intense aromas of ripe fruit such as plum and cherry, enriched by notes of chocolate and vanilla due to barrel aging.

Its color is deeply red with violet reflections that promise a remarkable sensory experience. On the palate, Chateau Yveline reveals a balanced and harmonious structure, with well-integrated tannins and an aromatic persistence that invites a second sip.

This wine is ideal for pairing with rich dishes like roasted meats, game, or aged cheeses. Its aging potential also makes it an excellent candidate for further years of cellar storage, where it can evolve and gain additional complex nuances. A true gem of Lalande De Pomerol that promises to elevate any table with a touch of class.

Winery history
Family-run for over a century, with roots dating back to the early 19th century, the estate took the name "Château Yveline" in tribute to two family children. The brand and pink label date back to the 1920s. Modern management is led by Christian Durand, an oenologist by training, who has maintained the estate's independence and traditional practices.
Production philosophy
The estate follows a reasoned approach to agriculture aimed at reducing environmental impact and controls production from vineyard to bottle. Grapes are hand-harvested, and vinification and aging are carried out under the supervision of the owner-winemaker; the estate also declares its intention to obtain the Haute Valeur Environnementale recognition starting with the 2019 vintage.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in the commune of Néac, to the east of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, with parcels that also fall within the Montagne Saint-Émilion and Bordeaux areas. The soils are composed of clay, limestone, silt and sand. In Lalande-de-Pomerol, production is typically Merlot-dominant, with Cabernet Franc.
