Le Crocine, an authentic expression of Toscana IGT, is born from a territory where winemaking tradition blends with a continuous search for elegance and freshness. This wine is primarily made from Sangiovese, the region’s flagship grape, which here offers a balance between structure and finesse. The temperate climate and typical temperature variations of the area contribute to developing intense and complex aromas, dominated by notes of ripe red fruits, cherry, and light spicy hints.

The winemaking is carried out with artisanal care, maintaining strict temperature control to preserve the primary aromas. It is followed by aging in stainless steel and small oak barrels, capable of enriching the wine without covering its natural freshness. On the palate, Le Crocine stands out for its smoothness well balanced by a lively acidity, which imparts great drinkability and persistence.

Perfect with white meat dishes, pasta with ragù, and semi-aged cheeses, this wine represents a sensory journey into the tradition and elegance of contemporary Tuscany.

Winery history
Le Crocine was founded as the personal project of Niccolò Marzichi Lenzi: after working abroad and developing a growing passion for wine, the family began production in the Lamentano area, near Castagneto Carducci. The estate is now recognized as a local operation personally managed by his wife, Joy, who oversees the project and the label's communications.
Production philosophy
The production style favors wines of character, freshness and approachability. The project has been described as inspired by Burgundian models: Le Crocine works with selected grapes from coastal growers and focuses on limited production and food-friendly, distinctive wines.
Terroir and vineyards
Lamentano, a hill near Castagneto Carducci on the Tuscan coast. The area is characterised by a Mediterranean climate and proximity to Mediterranean scrubland; some of the vineyards used are located in the coastal area facing Bibbona/Bolgheri.
