Les Houtrants Complantés - Geoffroy comes from the renowned Burgundy region, land of historic and prestigious vineyards. This wine is born from a complex blend of ancient vineyards, where the practice of complantation – that is the intertwining of different grape varieties in the same plot – gives a unique richness to the final bouquet. The skilled hand of Geoffroy enhances bushes of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, typical of the Côte Chalonnaise territory, while highlighting both elegance and structure.

The aging takes place in selected wooden barrels, which provide the wine with a fine texture of aromatic notes, with hints of ripe red fruits, delicate spices, and a pleasant minerality reminiscent of the vineyard's limestone soil. On the palate, a fresh acidity balanced by soft tannins is perceived, making Les Houtrants Complantés a versatile and harmonious product. Perfect to accompany dishes based on white meats and aged cheeses, it is an authentic expression of the viticultural vocation of one of the most fascinating areas of Burgundy.

Champagne Geoffroy – Winery in Champagne (Vallée de la Marne)

Discover the story and wines of Champagne Geoffroy.

Family-run Champagne house operating as a récoltant-manipulant, with vineyards mainly in Cumières (Premier Cru) and a working cellar in Aÿ. It produces expressive cuvées, benefiting from parcel-by-parcel vinification and technical choices focused on freshness.
Region: Champagne (Vallée de la Marne)
Country: Francia
Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir
Vineyards concentrated mainly in Cumières. Declared vineyard area: 14 hectares. Declared varietal percentages: approximately 24% Chardonnay, 34% Pinot Meunier, 42% Pinot Noir. The winery and winemaking operations were relocated to Aÿ in 2008. Winemaking practices focused on preserving freshness and the use of traditional pressing.
Winery history
The Geoffroy family has cultivated vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne since the 17th century. In the early 1950s Roger Geoffroy began bottling under his own name. Management then passed to René and later to Jean-Baptiste Geoffroy, who moved the winemaking and commercial operations to Aÿ in 2008. The house has grown while remaining family-run and involving the next generation.
Production philosophy
Production aims to respect the soil and the vineyard’s expression: minimal vineyard work and winemaking conducted parcel by parcel. In the cellar, priority is given to traditional pressing, gravity transfers and choices intended to preserve freshness. Blending and dosage are decided to enhance the wine’s natural balance.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyard covers 14 hectares, divided into plots across the hills of Damery, Hautvillers, Fleury-la-Rivière and, notably, Cumières, a village classified Premier Cru in the Vallée de la Marne. The land is fragmented into numerous clos and parcels that provide diverse varietal expressions typical of the region.
