Les Tiersaudes Meunier - Geoffroy is an elegant and refined red, an authentic expression of Champagne, a region generally known for its sparkling wines but also capable of telling surprising stories in a still version. Coming from the Maison Geoffroy, located in the Côte des Bar, this cuvée is based exclusively on the Pinot Meunier grape variety, emblematic for its ability to provide freshness and aromaticity to wines.

The sandy and chalky soil of the area imparts structure and minerality, while the vinification in steel tanks and aging in bottle ensure immediate drinkability and a clean, vibrant olfactory profile. On the nose, you can distinguish fruity notes of cherry, raspberry, and a slight spiciness, with vegetal touches enriching the bouquet. On the palate, the Meunier is juicy, with smooth tannins and a harmonious finish that invites further sipping.

Perfect paired with white meats, delicate cold cuts, and first courses with vegetables, Les Tiersaudes Meunier offers a new perspective on the versatility of Pinot Meunier in its land of origin. A wine that combines elegance and simplicity, ideal for those who want to explore Champagne beyond sparkling wine.

Champagne Geoffroy – Winery in Champagne (Vallée de la Marne)

Discover the story and wines of Champagne Geoffroy.

Family-run Champagne house operating as a récoltant-manipulant, with vineyards mainly in Cumières (Premier Cru) and a working cellar in Aÿ. It produces expressive cuvées, benefiting from parcel-by-parcel vinification and technical choices focused on freshness.
Region: Champagne (Vallée de la Marne)
Country: Francia
Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir
Vineyards concentrated mainly in Cumières. Declared vineyard area: 14 hectares. Declared varietal percentages: approximately 24% Chardonnay, 34% Pinot Meunier, 42% Pinot Noir. The winery and winemaking operations were relocated to Aÿ in 2008. Winemaking practices focused on preserving freshness and the use of traditional pressing.
Winery history
The Geoffroy family has cultivated vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne since the 17th century. In the early 1950s Roger Geoffroy began bottling under his own name. Management then passed to René and later to Jean-Baptiste Geoffroy, who moved the winemaking and commercial operations to Aÿ in 2008. The house has grown while remaining family-run and involving the next generation.
Production philosophy
Production aims to respect the soil and the vineyard’s expression: minimal vineyard work and winemaking conducted parcel by parcel. In the cellar, priority is given to traditional pressing, gravity transfers and choices intended to preserve freshness. Blending and dosage are decided to enhance the wine’s natural balance.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyard covers 14 hectares, divided into plots across the hills of Damery, Hautvillers, Fleury-la-Rivière and, notably, Cumières, a village classified Premier Cru in the Vallée de la Marne. The land is fragmented into numerous clos and parcels that provide diverse varietal expressions typical of the region.
