Lillet Rouge is one of the oldest classic aperitifs of the great French tradition than in the Bordeaux area.
A red wine flavored with various spices and herbs. The infusion gives the wine complex and persistent aromas and scents, expanding its sensory spectrum and giving it a truly particular gustatory richness. Rich, intense and elegant, it conquers with its spicy, fruity and balsamic notes. The preparation involves aging in wooden barrels.
In the glass it has a dark ruby red color with bright reflections. On the nose, it offers hints of citrus peel mixed with fruity aromas of small red fruits, notes of cherries in alcohol and hints of rhubarb, as well as cinchona and soft spices, with a background of balsamic hints of mountain herbs. It envelops the palate with a warm, soft taste and a pleasantly sweet fruit, in perfect harmony between fresh balsamic sensations and tannic texture. The finish is extremely long and persistent.
It is perfect as an aperitif served on the rocks.
