Lugana DOC - I Frati - Mathusalem - Astucciato - Cà dei Frati represents the excellence of the Lombardy lakeside territory, produced on the shores of Lake Garda, where the mild climate favors a perfect ripening of the Turbiana grape variety. This white wine is distinguished by its enveloping structure and the balanced harmony between acidity and softness, the result of a skillful aging that enhances its organoleptic complexity.

In the glass, it presents a bright straw yellow color, while on the nose it releases intense aromas of almond, white flowers, and mineral notes typical of the clay-limestone soil of the area. On the palate, it is elegant, with a long persistence and a slightly fruity aftertaste that invites another sip.

Perfect to accompany delicate fish dishes or shellfish, the Mathusalem is a wine with a refined character, also ideal as a precious gift thanks to its exclusive case.

Winery history
The estate is documented as far back as 1782, and its present course took shape when Felice Dal Cero moved to Lugana di Sirmione in 1939. The Dal Cero family progressively bottled and promoted Lugana; in 1969 Pietro Dal Cero took part in the establishment of the appellation by bottling its first label. Today the estate is managed by succeeding generations of the family, who carry on production and activities tied to the local area.
Production philosophy
Careful work in the vineyard and cellar, with separate vinifications for each vineyard to capture the different expressions of the terroir. The estate declares respect for the raw material, up-to-date techniques and carefully planned ageing to produce wines with integrity and longevity.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate's main vineyards are concentrated in the Lugana di Sirmione area and around the tower of San Martino della Battaglia on Lake Garda; in the early 2000s the estate also acquired approximately 11 hectares in Valpolicella, where the Amarone 'Pietro Dal Cero' is produced.
