Merlot IGP Sodale - Cotarella is born from selected Merlot grapes grown in the dedicated lands of Lazio, a region that, thanks to its temperate climate and mineral-rich soils, favors optimal ripening. This wine, with an intense ruby red color, stands out for its elegance and softness, a result of a balance between freshness and well-integrated tannic structure. The aging in wood adds delicate vanilla and slightly spicy notes, which enhance the aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, accompanied by subtle herbaceous hints. On the palate, it is enveloping, with a clean and harmonious finish that makes it suitable for a wide range of pairings, from red meat dishes and roasts to aged cheeses and Mediterranean cuisine. A wine capable of telling the typicality of Merlot in the Lazio context, ideal for moments of refined conviviality.

Winery history
The family's roots date back to the 1960s; brothers Renzo and Riccardo Cotarella founded the Falesco project in 1979. The company has also conducted research and initiatives to recover local grape varieties such as Roscetto.
