The Merlot Isonzo from Tenuta Luisa represents an impeccable example of how the land and passion can merge to create a wine of remarkable prestige. This wine originates from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, more precisely from the Isonzo area, renowned for its gravelly and mineral-rich soil, which lends a particular intensity and unique finesse to the vines that grow there.

Merlot, an international grape variety that has found a second home in the soils of Friuli, is here vinified in purity. Tenuta Luisa, a winery with a long tradition and a strong dedication to quality, oversees every phase of the production process, from the manual harvesting of the grapes to the vinification. The result is a Merlot with a deep ruby red color, which anticipates an intense and complex olfactory experience.

On the nose, Merlot Isonzo opens with aromas of mature red fruits, especially cherries and plums, enriched by nuances of spices such as black pepper and vanilla, also due to wise aging in oak barriques. On the palate, the wine demonstrates a robust but balanced structure, with sweet and velvety tannins that harmoniously integrate with a persistent freshness and a long aromatic aftertaste.

This Merlot pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, game dishes, and aged cheeses, but it is also enjoyable on its own as a contemplative wine. Ideally, serve at a temperature between 16-18°C to fully appreciate its richness and complexity.

Ultimately, the Merlot Isonzo from Tenuta Luisa is an excellent choice for those seeking a wine that combines elegance, power, and the typical expressiveness of the Friulian terroir.
