Birra Moretti La Rossa is a bottom-fermented beer produced using a special quality of barley malt which, according to the traditional recipe, undergoes a real "shot of fire" at 150°C with which the master brewers transform the barley into malt. A touch that makes it special, a unique product with an unmistakable taste. The result is a beer with hints of caramelized malt and an intense aroma that mixes with spicy tones, plus the use of a particularly aromatic variety of hops gives this red a typically bitter yet delicate aftertaste.
It is presented in the glass of an intense amber color with coppery reflections, with a cream-colored, fine and persistent foam. On the nose, hints of aromatic herbs, bay leaves, juniper, licorice and black pepper stand out, all on a caramel background. The taste is decisive, almost sugary in the initial note, to then leave room for body and roundness that close on a decidedly bitter finish.
