The Nacchero from Tenuta Grillesino is a wine of refined Tuscan expression, belonging to the IGT Toscana category, which encapsulates in the glass the richness and elegance of the vineyards of this unique land. Made with selected grapes from the Tuscan hills, this wine stands out for its harmonious structure and complex bouquet, expressing notes of ripe fruit, floral hints, and a delicate, slightly spicy aroma.

The expertly conducted aging, often in small wooden barrels or steel tanks, gives Nacchero a surprising balance between freshness and softness, with velvety tannins and a persistent finish that invites another sip. Its versatile character makes it ideal to accompany white meats, mushroom-based dishes, and aged cheeses, while also allowing for surprising pairings with preparations from traditional Tuscan cuisine.

A wine capable of intensely telling the story of the territory from which it originates, perfectly embodying the passion and experience that distinguish the production of Tenuta Grillesino.

Region: Toscana
Country: Italia
Founded: 1999
Grapes: Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Vermentino, Viognier, Pinot Blanc
Based in Magliano in Tuscany, in the Lower Maremma. Production and promotion of Morellino di Scansano and Sangiovese-based wines. Example of the vinification of pure Ciliegiolo. Technical collaborations with the Università di Agraria di Firenze and French oenological institutes for clonal selection. Part of the Compagnia del Vino group, which oversees production and marketing.
Winery history
A project led by Giancarlo and Saverio Notari that took shape in the late 1990s: the Grillesino estate was established as a production property affiliated with the Compagnia del Vino group and has been developed through vineyard work and expansions of the winery, enhancing selected clones in collaboration with the Università di Agraria di Firenze and the Institut d'Oenologie de Bordeaux.
Production philosophy
Production focused on the typicity of the territory: use of modern winery technologies combined with light filtration treatments to preserve the character of the native grapes; experimentation with clones and varieties to produce wines recognizable as being from the Maremma.
Terroir and vineyards
Magliano in Toscana, Bassa Maremma, with vineyards partly located within the Maremma DOC / Morellino di Scansano appellations.
