The Nebbiolo Rosso Colline Novaresi DOC 2018 by Torraccia, bottled in Magnum format, represents a wine excellence from the lesser-known but charming Piedmont region. Coming from the Novara hills area, this wine perfectly expresses the Nebbiolo grape, which here finds an ideal territory to develop an elegant and complex character.
The Nebbiolo from Torraccia is carefully aged, enhancing the aromas of small red fruits, dog rose, and light spicy hints intertwined with balsamic and earthy notes. On the palate, it is enveloping and harmonious, with well-present but silky tannins, giving a pleasant persistence.
Thanks to its balanced structure and aromatic-taste finesse, this red pairs magnificently with typical Piedmont dishes, such as braised meats and roasts, but also with aged cheeses, for an authentic and characterful tasting experience.
