The Nebbiolo Rosso Ghemme DOCG 2009 by Torraccia represents an excellence of Piedmont, precisely from the historic area of Ghemme, located in the Novara hills. Made exclusively from the Nebbiolo grape variety, this wine expresses all the finesse and complexity typical of one of Italy’s noblest grapes. The 2009 vintage delivered a balanced structure, matured through a traditional aging that gives the wine elegant notes of withered rose, red berries, and a delicate hint of spices and tobacco.

On the palate, it manifests a silky tannic texture and a vibrant acidity, which supports a long and pleasantly mineral persistence. Ideal to accompany red meats, flavorful roasts, and aged cheeses, this Ghemme tells with intensity and harmony the terroir of production, offering a sensory experience rich in elegance and character. A perfect choice for those seeking a Nebbiolo of great authenticity and longevity.

Winery history
The company's origins date back to the 1950s, when Pierino Piantavigna planted the first vineyards; it was officially established in 1997 by Alessandro Francoli. Over time ownership and management have evolved to include local family collaborations and an expansion of vineyards and production, while maintaining a focus on the viticultural traditions of the Colline Novaresi.
Production philosophy
