The Nebbiolo Rosso Ghemme DOCG 2008 by Torraccia elegantly expresses the authentic character of one of Piedmont’s most renowned terroirs. This wine is made exclusively from the Nebbiolo grape, cultivated among the hills of Ghemme, an area famous for its stone and limestone soils that impart minerality and structure. The particularly favorable 2008 vintage allows the wine to reveal depth and balance.
With a bright garnet color, the olfactory profile opens with notes of withered rose, ripe cherry, and delicate spices, accompanied by ethereal hints of tobacco and leather. On the palate, it is complex, endowed with well-smoothed tannins and a fresh acidity that supports its longevity. The extended aging, presumably carried out in oak barrels, imparts a velvety softness and a pleasant persistence.
Perfect with roasted meat dishes and aged cheeses, the Nebbiolo Rosso Ghemme 2008 offers an enveloping experience for lovers of great Piedmontese reds.
