The Nebbiolo Rosso Ghemme DOCG 2006 by Torraccia is born on the hills of Piedmont, in the heart of the Ghemme area, a denomination famous for the elegance of its Nebbiolo-based wines. This vintage underwent long aging that enhanced the tannic complexity and the typical structure of this grape variety. In the glass, it shows an intense garnet red color, with orange reflections, a sign of its long aging. On the nose, notes of withered roses, sweet spices, damp earth, and ripe red fruits emerge, accompanied by a slight balsamic hint.
The sip is harmonious and savory, with well-rounded tannins that offer an enveloping persistence and a slightly bitter finish, typical of Nebbiolo from this area. Perfect paired with roasted red meats and aged cheeses, this Ghemme 2006 by Torraccia is an example of great longevity and territorial finesse.
