The Petrucci Anfiteatro DOC Orcia from Podere Forte is a red wine of remarkable expression, originating from the Tuscany region, specifically from the Orcia area. This refined wine is the result of a limited production that reflects the commitment and passion of the Podere Forte winery for excellence and sustainability.

Cultivated on particularly favorable soils that benefit from an ideal microclimate, Petrucci Anfiteatro best expresses the qualities of the territory. This wine is mainly made from Sangiovese grapes, an emblematic variety of the area, which gives the wine intensity and character. The vinification process follows traditional methods combined with modern technologies, ensuring the highest quality of the finished product.

Visually, it presents an intense ruby red color, turning to garnet with aging. The nose offers a complex and rich bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, spices, and a slight hint of vanilla and leather, derived from wood aging. On the palate, the Petrucci Anfiteatro DOC is full and robust, with an excellent tannic structure that promises excellent longevity. The balance between acidity and tannins is masterful, culminating in a persistent and harmonious finish.

This wine pairs beautifully with Tuscan cuisine dishes, such as roast red meats, game, and aged cheeses. Also ideal as a meditation wine, the Petrucci Anfiteatro DOC Orcia is an excellent example of how the territory and care in production can converge into a high-quality product, capable of telling stories of land and tradition through every sip.

Winery history
Podere Forte was founded as an agricultural project led by Pasquale Forte and developed around the idea of a self-sufficient estate. The estate, operating since 1997, has re-created an integrated farm in the Val d’Orcia where viticulture, olive growing, beekeeping and livestock farming coexist, following organic and biodynamic practices.
Production philosophy
The estate is managed according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, with attention to soil health, production autonomy and the enhancement of local resources. The approach combines traditional techniques with precision tools in a system called "Sistema Forte," aimed at environmental and social sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in the Val d’Orcia, a landscape recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the vineyards are planted on soils rich in schist and clay at varying elevations, which favor typical expressions of Sangiovese and Bordeaux-style blends. The estate also has extensive olive groves and large areas of agricultural land.
Awards and recognitions
