The Moulin De Gassac Pinot Noir is a rare gem from the wine region of the Hérault valley in France. This wine reflects the elegance and refinement that Pinot Noir can achieve under the generous sun of the southern France.

On the nose, the Moulin De Gassac Pinot Noir delights with intense aromas of red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, enhanced by subtle notes of spices and a hint of vanilla from the aging in wood. The bouquet is complex and invites further exploration through taste.

On the palate, it displays a soft yet lively and dynamic structure. The acidity is well-balanced and harmoniously integrates with fine, silky tannins, which give the wine a pleasantly lingering finish. The alcohol is well incorporated, resulting in an elegant and pleasingly balanced wine.

This Pinot Noir stands out for its culinary versatility. It pairs beautifully with dishes based on light red meats, roasted poultry, and medium-aged cheeses. It is also an excellent companion for a relaxing evening, perhaps accompanied by a plate of finely sliced charcuterie.

Ideal for those seeking a wine that combines tradition and modernity, the Moulin de Gassac Pinot Noir is a specimen not to be missed, capable of offering a rich and satisfying sensory experience. A timeless classic made unique by the expression of the terroir of southern France.

Winery history
Moulin de Gassac originated as a selection created by the Guibert family in the early 1990s to enhance local plots and rescue vines threatened by uprooting imposed by community programs. The official website notes that the first cuvée, "Figaro", from 1993 received international recognition in its category.
Production philosophy
The selection prioritizes precise vineyard sourcing and traditional winemaking to achieve elegance and finesse. The project works in partnership with local growers and promotes environmentally responsible practices. The website also notes a commitment to sustainable certifications.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards for this selection come mainly from the amphitheatres of Villeveyrac for the reds, and from parcels around the Étang de Thau near Pinet for the whites and rosés. Soils range from clay-limestone, rich in mineral oxides, to clay-alluvial soils with pebbles, all influenced by the Mediterranean climate.
Awards and recognitions
The official website reports that the cuvée Figaro was awarded "best wine in the world in its category" upon its release.
