The Pouilly Fumé by Baron de Ladoucette is a white wine that represents one of the most refined and elegant examples of the Pouilly-Fumé appellation, located in the Loire region of France. This exquisite wine stands out for its complex aromatic profile and balanced structure, making it an excellent choice for connoisseurs and lovers of Sauvignon Blanc.

To the eye, the Pouilly Fumé by Ladoucette showcases a bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections that hint at the freshness of the sip. On the nose, vibrant citrus notes such as lemon and grapefruit immediately emerge, followed by nuances of white pulp fruits, aromatic herbs, and a light mineral touch reminiscent of flint—a typical expression of the Pouilly-Fumé terroir.

On the palate, the wine demonstrates an extraordinary acidic freshness that balances harmoniously with a good body structure. Citrus and tropical fruit sensations blend with a pleasantly persistent minerality, leading to a long and clean finish.

This Pouilly Fumé by Baron de Ladoucette pairs beautifully with seafood, grilled fish, and fresh goat cheese. It is also an excellent companion for dishes based on asparagus or vegetarian dishes rich in aromatic herbs.

It is ideal to serve it at a temperature of 10-12°C to enhance its qualities. With its aging potential, this wine can be enjoyed immediately or stored for a few years, during which it will further develop its complexity.

Winery history
The company's roots date back to the Comte Lafond family, who at the end of the 18th century acquired the vineyards of Château du Nozet in Pouilly. The estate is now owned by the de Ladoucette family, and under the leadership of Baron Patrick de Ladoucette it has expanded to include vineyards and labels in the Sancerre area. The cuvée "Baron de L" was created as the estate's most extreme expression of Sauvignon and is produced only in years considered the best.

Strong focus on the value of the terroir and on parcel-by-parcel selection; winemaking practices are tailored to individual grapes to enhance the typicity and finesse of the Sauvignon, with the aim of producing bottles of high quality and territorial expression.

Headquartered at Château du Nozet, Pouilly-sur-Loire, in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation. The production area also extends into nearby parts of the Loire and includes vineyards used for Sancerre and other labels of the group.
