The Pouilly-Fumé "Les Chaudoux" from Domaine Serge Dagueneau is a splendid example of the elegance and finesse that a Sauvignon Blanc can express in the renowned Loire region of France. This wine is known for its characteristic aromatic bouquet, where intense notes of citrus, melon, and a slight touch of smoke stand out, imparted by the unique terroir of Pouilly-sur-Loire with its flint-rich soils.

On the palate, "Les Chaudoux" reveals a surprising freshness and liveliness, balanced by a very pronounced mineral structure. The complexity of flavors harmoniously blends, offering nuances of white-fleshed fruit, fresh herbs, and an elegant mineral undertone that persists in the long finish.

This wine pairs wonderfully with seafood, delicate fish dishes, or as a sophisticated aperitif. Its well-balanced acidity and aromatic complexity also make it an excellent companion for goat cheeses. "Les Chaudoux" is a wine that, in addition to providing immediate delight, possesses excellent aging potential. A true treasure for lovers of high-quality white wines and terroir-specific expression.

Winery history
The domaine began as a family-run estate managed by the Dagueneau family; sources trace its origins to the founding by great-grandmother Léontine at the beginning of the 20th century. In recent years management has passed to Serge’s daughters, notably Valérie, who today leads the business and the winemaking featured in specialist guides.
Production philosophy
Production focused on quality and environmental stewardship: the domaine applies soil-conservation techniques and has obtained environmental certifications/recognitions, while some parcels are in conversion to organic practices and are experimenting with biodynamic approaches.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on the hills between Pouilly-sur-Loire and Saint-Andelain, on calcareous/marl soils typical of the Pouilly area. The principal appellations are Pouilly-Fumé and Pouilly-sur-Loire; the family also farms parcels in the Côtes de la Charité, where it produces white, red and rosé wines.
