The Renosu Rosso of Mathusalem, produced by the Dettori company, is a wine that fully expresses the identity of the Sardinian territory, particularly the Gallura area. Made mainly with Nebbiolo clone Renosu grapes, it represents a refined expression of a unique grape variety cultivated in particularly arid and windy conditions. The aging process in wooden cask gives the wine a complex structure and a balance between firm tannins and vibrant freshness.

In the glass, it appears with an intense ruby red color, accompanied by broad aromas of ripe forest fruits, delicate spices, and balsamic hints that reveal the high quality of the grapes and the artisanal care in the cellar. The sip is full, enveloping, and persistent, with a mineral aftertaste typical of the granite soils of the region.

Ideal to pair with red meat dishes, game, or aged cheeses, the Renosu Rosso of Dettori invites a deep and authentic tasting experience.

Region: Sardegna
Country: Italia
Founded: 1996
Grapes: Cannonau (clone Retagliadu Nieddu), Vermentino, Moscato di Sorso-Sennori, Monica, Pascale
Cru: Badde Nigolosu, single-vineyard wines Exclusively vinified in concrete tanks. Biodynamic practices and a natural approach Goblet-trained vines at 250–300 m above sea level. Indigenous grape varieties, with particular focus on the local Cannonau clone.
Winery history
The Dettori family has cultivated the land and produced wine for generations. Sales in demijohns continued until 1981, when Paolo began bottling part of the production. The modern project now known as Tenute Dettori was presented under the heading "1996 – Vignaioli Artigiani del vino e della Terra in Badde Nigolosu." The estate has progressively promoted the pure vinification of ancient local clones and the enhancement of the Badde Nigolosu cru.
Production philosophy
Artisanal agricultural work and minimal cellar intervention: biodynamic farming, hand harvesting, cluster selection, natural macerations and aging exclusively in concrete to express the terroir without the systematic use of wood or additives.
Terroir and vineyards
Badde Nigolosu, a natural amphitheatre in the Romangia del Logudoro. Vines are bush-trained at approximately 250–300 m above sea level, with views over the Gulf of Asinara and protected areas of Mediterranean maquis.
