Dos Maderas is obtained from the assembly of the finest Rums from Barbados and the Republic of Guyana, which are carefully selected, giving rise to very particular organoleptic flavors.
The first period of aging which lasts at least 5 years is performed in the Caribbean, after this period of time the Rum is transferred to Williams & Humbert. Here it ages for another 5 years in barrels that previously contained the best Oloroso Sherry and Pedro Ximenez.
After about ten years the Rum "Dos Maderas PX 5+5 Years Old" is finally ready. A great distillate, not easy to describe in words, which should certainly be tasted to appreciate and grasp every nuance.
The color brings to mind the tones of amber. The perfumes open with clear hints of vanilla and fruit that dominate the whole. The taste is decidedly warm and full, with sweet flavors of raisins and dried figs. Particularly pleasant and persistent finish.
