Winery history
The Rainoldi family began its commercial activity in 1925 with Aldo Rainoldi. In the following decades the winery evolved from trading to winemaking and bottling, remaining family-run and expanding into international markets. Recent generations have focused on quality, protection of the territory and continuity of production.
Production philosophy
Enhancing the Valtellina territory through mountain viticulture practices, manual vineyard care and a focus on sustainability. In the winery, priority is given to respect for the raw materials and to reducing impact, alongside social responsibility projects and initiatives aimed at conserving the agricultural landscape.
Terroir and vineyards
The winery is rooted in Valtellina. Its south-facing terraced vineyards, supported by dry-stone walls, benefit from marked diurnal temperature variation and shallow soils. It produces in the traditional subzones, using the local Nebbiolo grape, known as Chiavennasca. The winery directly manages over nine hectares of vineyards and works with a network of local growers.
