Region: Marche
Country: Italia
Founded: 1897
Grapes: Passerina, Pecorino, Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Grenache
Family-owned winery with continuity across multiple generations. Production declared to use organic methods. Wines awarded at national and international level. Vineyards of native grape varieties from the Marche. Organized winery visits and tastings.
Winery history
The estate traces its origins to Raffaele Vagnoni’s purchase of a property in the locality "le caniette" in 1897. Over the course of the twentieth century the family gradually expanded the holdings and, from the 1940s to the 1960s, converted much of the land to vineyards: a multi-generational story that has taken the winery from mixed farming to a focus on winemaking and the sale of its wines.
Production philosophy
The winery declares an approach based on harmony with the environment, prioritizing organic soil cultivation and management that seeks a balance between tradition, technical expertise and respect for the land.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Ripatransone, the winery farms hillside vineyards influenced both by sea air and by cooler inland breezes. The area is characterized by a strong food-and-wine tradition and the rolling hills typical of southern Marche.
Awards and recognitions
Numerous accolades for several labels: among them, Morellone has repeatedly received 'Tre Bicchieri' mentions and awards at national and international competitions; labels such as Cinabro and Nero di Vite have also been honored in guides and competitions.
