S.W. Churchill 2018 by Pol Roger is an emblematic cuvée of the renowned champagne house, embodying elegance and complexity in a refined balance. Produced in the Champagne region, this champagne stands out for the skillful use of Pinot Noir, the main grape variety in the blend that provides structure and depth. The prolonged aging on lees, a hallmark of the Pol Roger style, intensifies aromatic richness and softness on the palate.

On the nose, it opens with intense and refined aromas of ripe fruits, such as peach and apricot, accompanied by hints of toasted hazelnut and vanilla, a result of bottle aging. On the palate, it shows a harmonious complexity and vibrant acidity that offers freshness and persistence, with a long finish rich in mineral nuances. This champagne represents a perfect combination of vigor and finesse, ideal for celebrating special moments or accompanying refined dishes like foie gras, white meats, or shellfish in delicate sauces. Its elegance also makes it an ideal companion for meditation and attentive tastings, enhancing the unique character of the Champagne terroir.

Winery history
Founded in 1849 by Pol Roger, the house moved to Épernay in the early 1850s and is still managed by the family's descendants. During the 20th century the house consolidated its reputation, forging a historic link with Winston Churchill and developing a network of estate vineyards complemented by supplies selected from Grands e Premiers Crus. In recent decades the house has renovated its cellars and refreshed its image while maintaining traditional winemaking practices and long cellar aging.
Production philosophy
Pol Roger focuses on stylistic consistency and grape quality: separate vinifications by cru and variety, predominant use of steel and concrete, extended time on the lees and traditional riddling. Grape selection favors high-quality crus to preserve elegance, structure and finesse.
Terroir and vineyards
Based in Épernay, it sources grapes from its own vineyards and from growers in the main Champagne areas, including Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs. The Maison uses grapes from selected Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites.
