The Sancerre Blanc Grand Chemarin by Vincent Pinard is an extraordinary example that reflects the excellence of the Sancerre terroir. This white wine is produced exclusively with Sauvignon Blanc grapes, selected from one of the most renowned plots in the region, the Grand Chemarin. The particular composition of the soil, rich in limestone and silex, imparts a distinctive minerality and unmistakable freshness to the wine.

On the nose, the Sancerre Blanc Grand Chemarin by Vincent Pinard opens with vibrant aromas of citrus, white-fleshed fruits, and floral notes, followed by a subtle herbaceous touch typical of Sauvignon Blanc. On the palate, the wine expresses a surprising complexity with a balanced structure and a lively acidity that leads to a long and persistent finish.

Ideal as an aperitif, this wine pairs wonderfully with delicate fish dishes, scallops, or fresh goat cheeses. Its elegance and depth also make it perfect for special occasions or as a gift for white wine enthusiasts.

Country: Francia
Grapes: Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir
Based in Bué, in the heart of the Sancerre appellation. Vineyards divided into many parcels, with parcel-specific productions. Approximately 17 hectares of vineyard Vineyard practices oriented toward organic/biodynamic methods, without seeking certification. White and red/rosé wines with various vinification methods and aging.
Winery history
The Pinard family has been rooted in the village of Bué for many generations; the family's modern viticultural activities are documented from the early 20th century. In the postwar period Charles Pinard revived the estate, and later Vincent and his wife Colette expanded it by acquiring relatives' vineyards and consolidating production to its present scale. Today the estate is run by the next generation, which has developed a range of single-vineyard cuvées.
Production philosophy
Priority is given to the vineyard: precise work in the vines to express each terroir, with practices oriented toward organic and biodynamic farming. In the cellar, indigenous yeasts are preferred, intervention is minimal, wood is used sparingly, and sulfites are reduced to highlight the agronomic character of the grapes.
Terroir and vineyards
The domaine is based in Bué, in the Sancerre area of the Loire Valley. The vineyards include parcels on various limestone soils — including outcrops of Kimmeridgian and Oxfordian limestone — and encompass lieux-dits such as Chêne Marchand, Grand Chemarin, Petit Chemarin and Les Créots; the fragmentation into many parcels produces distinctive, site-specific cuvées.
