The Sauvignon Exclusive MAGNUM from Ploner Winery is a white wine that embodies the essence of Sauvignon grapes cultivated in the most prestigious wine regions. This 1.5-liter MAGNUM edition is particularly appreciated by wine lovers for its superior organoleptic qualities and its elegant presentation, ideal for special occasions or as a sophisticated gift.

Born from a meticulous selection of grapes, the Sauvignon Exclusive expresses an intense and complex aromatic bouquet. On the nose, it distinguishes itself with vibrant notes of tropical fruits such as passion fruit and lychee, mixed with hints of aromatic herbs and a light mineral touch reminiscent of flint. These olfactory characteristics are a prelude to a fresh, vibrant, and well-balanced palate.

In the mouth, the wine reveals extraordinary freshness accompanied by a well-present acidity that is never overpowering, harmoniously intertwining with aromas of white-fleshed fruit and a touch of green pepper, typical of Sauvignon. Its aromatic persistence is remarkable, leaving a pleasantly clean and stimulating sensation.

Thanks to its structure and complexity, the Sauvignon Exclusive MAGNUM from Ploner pairs beautifully with sophisticated fish dishes, seafood, and fresh goat cheeses. It is also an excellent companion for light starters and vegetarian dishes enriched with aromatic herbs.

Serve this wine at a temperature of 8-10°C to fully enjoy its qualities. The large MAGNUM bottle not only guarantees a significant visual impact on the table but also contributes to a better evolution of the wine, allowing the aromas and flavors to express themselves at their best.

Winery history
Plonerhof was born from the conversion of an old farmhouse into a vineyard, led by the Tutzer family. The first bottling trials date back to the 2010s, with production consolidating in the early years of the following decade. The estate combines the owners' vine-nursery expertise with direct vineyard management, developing over the years an identity focused on low yields, clonal selection and quality wines.
Production philosophy
Vineyards are cultivated with the utmost respect for the environment, employing minimal interventions and a strong emphasis on manual work; at the winery the focus is on careful grape handling and a calibrated aging regime that highlights varietal and terroir characteristics. The estate has also undertaken projects on resistant grape varieties and clonal selection.
Terroir and vineyards
Marlengo hill: sandy-clay soils with occurrences of granite, schist and gneiss; vineyards on the valley-facing slopes with steep gradients, which promote a marked diurnal temperature range and the aromatic ripening of the grapes.
Awards and recognitions
Mentions and awards for some wines: the winery's Solaris has been awarded or mentioned in PIWI contexts; the Pinot Noir is positively mentioned in specialist guides and rankings.
