Shochu Hana no Tsuyu Yamanoka Shiso is a refined Japanese distillate, produced by the Yoigokochi cellar with particular attention to craftsmanship and local tradition. Originating from the Kyushu region, famous for the production of high-quality shochu, this product stands out for the use of shiso, a Japanese aromatic plant that provides a unique freshness, a herbaceous aromatic profile, and a slightly mentholated nuance.
The distillation method used enhances the organoleptic characteristics of shiso, highlighting a harmonious balance between vegetal notes and a slightly spicy delicacy. On the nose, fresh scents of aromatic herbs are perceived, accompanied by a slight minerality. The sip is clean, pleasantly rounded, with a herbaceous aftertaste that lingers delicately, offering a fresh and invigorating sensation.
This shochu is well suited to be enjoyed neat, preferably at room temperature or slightly chilled, but is also excellent for refined cocktails. It pairs excellently with Japanese dishes based on fish and vegetables, where the freshness of shiso enhances the food’s notes without overpowering them. A distillate that fully expresses the territory and the care in production of Yoigokochi.
