The Spumante Passerina Brut DOC of the Linea Contesa, produced by Az. Agricola Contesa, is born in the Marche hills, where the Passerina grape variety finds its ideal habitat. This sparkling wine stands out for its freshness and liveliness, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage that gives elegance to the sip. The Charmat method helps preserve the aromatic characteristics of the grape variety, highlighting notes of white flowers, white-fleshed fruit, and a mineral hint that recalls the territory of origin. With a bright straw color, on the palate it is balanced and harmonious, with a pleasant acidity that makes it ideal as an aperitif or paired with delicate seafood dishes and light appetizers. A sparkling wine that celebrates the tradition and freshness of Marche, perfect for those seeking an elegant but accessible tasting experience.

Winery history
Contesa was founded as a winemaking project linked to the Pasetti family; online sources describe the central role of Rocco Pasetti and his family in managing the estate. The cellar carved into the hillside was completed in the 2000s, and from there the estate developed several ranges of wines focused on the grape varieties typical of Abruzzo.
Production philosophy
Production aimed at enhancing the Abruzzo terroir and employing low-impact winemaking practices: selective use of wood, controlled fermentations, and attention to preserving the freshness of native grape varieties. Sources also report a commitment to sustainability and a transition to organic practices and environmental certification.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards in the Collecorvino area, on the hills northwest of Pescara: favourable south-facing exposure, clay-limestone soils and elevations of around 250 m above sea level; conditions considered suitable for Montepulciano and other local grape varieties.
