The Terrano IGT produced by Kante winery is a red wine that best expresses the uniqueness of the Karst region from which it originates. Known for its strong territorial identity, Kante's Terrano is the result of careful vinification aimed at preserving the varietal and territorial characteristics of the grape.

Visually, this wine displays an intense ruby red color, sometimes with purplish highlights that denote its youth. On the nose, Kante's Terrano IGT opens with lively notes of wild berries, particularly blackberries and raspberries, and slight hints of spices and moist earth, typical of the Karst terroir. There are also floral scents that enrich the olfactory bouquet, making it complex and pleasantly inviting.

On the palate, the wine is robust and well-structured. The acidity is well-balanced and supports a pronounced but never obtrusive tannic texture, which evolves towards a persistent and savory finish. These characteristics make Kante's Terrano IGT a wine that can easily undergo aging, during which its flavors will further refine.

It is recommended to pair with dishes of red meat, game, and aged cheeses, this wine manages to enhance intense and rich flavors, creating a perfect match with the traditional cuisine of the Karst region. It is also an excellent choice to accompany an evening among friends, where the wine becomes the protagonist of dialogue and conviviality.

When serving, it is advised to maintain a temperature of about 16-18°C to allow the wine to express all its aromatic and taste qualities. The Kante winery, with its dedication and respect for the territory, has managed to produce a Terrano that is both a celebration of the grape and a tribute to the Karst land.

Winery history
Cantina Santi was founded as a winery in Illasi and has been present in Valpolicella since the 19th century. During the 20th century the Santi family introduced technical innovations and progressively focused on high-end wines; in 1974 the winery became part of Gruppo Italiano Vini, which reinforced investments and facilities while preserving its local identity.
Production philosophy
Santi claims a style tied to the sense of place of Valpolicella: it favors the predominant use of Corvina in its selections, aging in large traditional casks, and the use of local woods to enhance the aromatic qualities typical of native grape varieties. The approach combines oenological research with respect for local practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Santi's vineyards and selections are concentrated in Val d'Illasi and the classic areas of Valpolicella, using a vineyard-selection approach across different exposures and microclimates to produce wines that reflect the local terroir. The winery also works with vineyards in other Veronese appellations such as Soave, Bardolino and Lugana.
