Torrione di Petrolo is a red wine of great elegance and complexity, an icon of the Petrolo winery located in the Valdarno Superiore area, one of the most prestigious regions in Tuscany for producing high-quality wines. This wine represents the expression of the local terroir and the meticulous attention to detail that the winery dedicates to the winemaking process.

The main base of this wine is Sangiovese, an authoritative grape variety that conveys the essence of the clay and limestone soil on which it grows. Small percentages of other native varieties are also added, contributing to a rich and persistent aromatic bouquet.

In the glass, Torrione presents an intense ruby red color, with garnet highlights as it ages. On the nose, it reveals complex notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, along with nuances of spices, leather, and tobacco, enriched by a slight touch of vanilla and chocolate, thanks to its aging in barrels.

On the palate, the wine is robust with a solid structure, well-balanced by good acidity that promises significant aging potential. The tannins are velvety and well-integrated, leading to a long and pleasantly aromatic finish.

Torrione di Petrolo is excellent to serve with traditional Tuscan dishes, such as bistecca alla fiorentina, but also pairs well with internationally flavorful dishes, such as red meat roasts or aged cheeses. Ideal for those seeking a wine that combines tradition and modernity with excellent craftsmanship.
